T.H.O.T. is another completely different lo-fi post-grunge indie-pop precious underachiever album that sat on a shelf for a decade before it was finished with more patchwork processed guitars and vocals designed to fit the tone of the 2007 hardwood floor apartment jam room where its principal recordings originated. At times walking the line between the more saccharine sounds of 'Nevermind' and 'Surfer Rosa' influences and other times navigating deeper Cure, Beat Happening, Pink Floyd, and Bowie vibes, you can tell the tracks began with some confident jammed grooves memorialized on tape, yet these whims were ultimately solidified in a carmelized mix of analog honesty and occasionally downbeat digital deliciousness.
