While 'Grandeur' is a follow-up to 'Positivity,' it explores a wider range of sounds with less vocal intensity. 'Grandeur' is to 'Positivity' as 'Paul's Boutique' is to "Licensed to Ill'. The first song, "Cathedral" is close to the prior album's big guitar sound, while the title track mixes in some southern rock leads alternating with rap verses, showing respect to The South that seems so hard to find. Even industrial rock and electro-indie styles appear on this collection of tunes, so you're never sure what will be next.
