The ten songs on 'People Suck' are eclectic, but they share a theme that the title track's lyrics dissect at the end of the album. Musically, this is a continuation of the genre-jumping philosophy exhibited on 'Grandeur,' though this time the flow of alternative rock stylings is many times congealed with a noticeable set of Jamaican music influences and Latin percussion elements. However, the songs here never tip over into those traditional forms. The tone remains as defiant as ever, tempering disillusionment with analysis and speaking perspective with confidence while issuing warnings in promotion of goodwill.
